We’re working hard every day to make sure our Summer 2009 release goes as smoothly as possible. We had a “work meeting” this past Monday to bag up shirts, separate them out, and make sure our order was correct.

If you pay close attention, you’ll also see sneak peeks of a sample Fresh Kids x Massive Monkees shirt. There are still some things to fix, but not to worry. These will be released at the Massive Monkees 10 Year Anniversary celebration at Evo on Saturday, May 16, 2009. See the flyer below!

As promised, we have The Proof, III. We okayed a couple more designs for production last Tuesday at Luxé. As you’ll notice, you see some new colors on familiar designs and also a close-up of a new design that Eric (Juta) wanted to get perfect on the shirt. It took a couple of different screens, but Eric Green hooked us up and made sure everything was on point before running the final batch.

After our trip to Luxé, we all headed to St. George, where some of us attended K-8. Our good friend Jeff Castro organized our Tuesday night hoop sessions. You’ll also see some pics of Gerald, Noy, and Eric gettin’ their b-boy on. It’s definitely nice to have a place to hoop, chill, and have fun with the homies. Thanks to Jeff for organizing it!

Here’s the second set of photos from our adventures in proofing. This set includes different angles on the previews and more shots from the automatic press. Eric Green ran one screen multiple times to show us the effect that thicker ink had on a black shirt — definitely makes the color pop. We’ll be back at Luxé to go over a couple more details for some other designs, so check back for The Proof, III.

The next step in our production was to proof the screens and make sure they’re on point. We went back to Luxé Riot to check out some preliminary runs before we start producing the final batch. There are a couple of previews of upcoming designs and a few familiar designs in new colors. We are in the process of tweaking a couple of the designs, but we’re getting closer to the final run.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Jason Gomez of Flying Coffin while he was putting the finishing touches on some of his shirts. We helped size up one design for the Flying Coffin patch on the chest. CJ and I were trying on the white striped shirt while Jason is rocking the black version. Definitely keep an eye out for his stuff!

The blog has been in constant tweaking without any actual updates, but I feel like I’ve finally come across a design and template I can be happy with (for now). I always feel indecisive on certain designs, font usage, colors, etc., but a quick search on Google yielded the Vostok theme. I hope you guys are feelin’ it. And feel free to leave comments! I’ll be leaving them open for the most part from now on.

Now, back to business.

The Fresh Kids (minus Alan due to him being ill) met this week to finalize some things before Mek, Noy, and Eric headed out to LA. We had a meeting at Joey’s to change things up and relax a bit (big ups to Jonessie for the great service). Here’s a run down of the crew in photos, either focused on business or focused on ESPN haha. And since Alan didn’t get to meet us up, his picture will be temporarily place marked by Noy’s bomb ass calamari. This post also gets a little treat: a photo of the photographer. I’m usually stuck behind the camera (not that I’m complaining), but I’m gonna try to get Gerald on the Rebel so I can get my GQ on.
