As promised, we have The Proof, III. We okayed a couple more designs for production last Tuesday at Luxé. As you’ll notice, you see some new colors on familiar designs and also a close-up of a new design that Eric (Juta) wanted to get perfect on the shirt. It took a couple of different screens, but Eric Green hooked us up and made sure everything was on point before running the final batch.

After our trip to Luxé, we all headed to St. George, where some of us attended K-8. Our good friend Jeff Castro organized our Tuesday night hoop sessions. You’ll also see some pics of Gerald, Noy, and Eric gettin’ their b-boy on. It’s definitely nice to have a place to hoop, chill, and have fun with the homies. Thanks to Jeff for organizing it!

Here’s the second set of photos from our adventures in proofing. This set includes different angles on the previews and more shots from the automatic press. Eric Green ran one screen multiple times to show us the effect that thicker ink had on a black shirt — definitely makes the color pop. We’ll be back at Luxé to go over a couple more details for some other designs, so check back for The Proof, III.

The next step in our production was to proof the screens and make sure they’re on point. We went back to Luxé Riot to check out some preliminary runs before we start producing the final batch. There are a couple of previews of upcoming designs and a few familiar designs in new colors. We are in the process of tweaking a couple of the designs, but we’re getting closer to the final run.

We also had the pleasure of meeting Jason Gomez of Flying Coffin while he was putting the finishing touches on some of his shirts. We helped size up one design for the Flying Coffin patch on the chest. CJ and I were trying on the white striped shirt while Jason is rocking the black version. Definitely keep an eye out for his stuff!

Last Tuesday, the crew made another trip up to Luxé Riot to meet with Eric Green. We finalized designs and size runs for our next batch of tees. We’re planning to release some new heat for the summer! Be on the lookout for our new shirts. We’re keeping a log of our progress of production so check back to see more pics of us at Luxé, around the town, and getting down to business for our summer line launch in June. And again, a big thanks to Eric Green for treating us like family!

Now to the pictures. I love candid shots so you won’t see many people posing for the camera. Gerald got on the Rebel to snap a few shots, also. Everyone is focused on getting something done in these next few shots. Just an example of how hard we hustle to make sure the job is done correctly, efficiently, and to the FRESH Kids’ standards.

And just in case anyone is wondering, I shoot with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT, Canon EF f/1.8 50mm II, and Canon Speedlite 430EX II. Edits and adjustments done with Aperture 2. Apple and Canon FTW.

Back in December, the Fresh Kids got a chance to visit the Luxe Riot studio. The post is late, but better late than never!
